Attempts to collect debt not owed: Debt collection
I was contacted by the company regarding an alleged debt. I dispute this debt and requested that the company provide validation, including the name of the original creditor, a complete itemization of the amount allegedly owed, documentation showing that I am legally responsible for the debt, and documentation demonstrating the company 's legal authority to collect it. To date, the requested validation has not been provided. Despite my dispute and request for validation, the company has continued its collection efforts. I have also requested that the company cease collection communications except as permitted by applicable law until the requested validation is provided. I believe the company 's actions have not complied with applicable consumer protection laws. I am requesting that the company provide proper debt validation, cease any collection activity that is not permitted by law, and correct any inaccurate information related to this alleged debt.
