Attempts to collect debt not owed: Debt collection

Upon checking my credit report I noticed a collection account from LJ Ross associates being reported, I sent them a certified letter requesting Debt Validation, to this day I have not received a response and do not believe a debt is owed, I am asking that your company begin an investigation into this account which you are reporting on my credit report, I am also asking that this account be removed until the investigation is completed.
