Closing an account: Checking or savings account

US bank froze my account and is closing it. I went to a branch and called customer service, but they refused to give me immediate access to my funds. I am a single mother, this is my only source of income, and I am facing severe financial hardship with no money for food or basic bills. I need U.S. Bank to immediately release and overnight my remaining balance via check. ''
