False statements or representation: Debt collection

I respectfully dispute this debt because the damages and unsanitary conditions being referenced existed at the time I moved into the apartment. The attached photographs were taken during my move-in inspection and document the condition of the unit before I occupied the property, including damaged interior doors, broken electrical fixtures, and unsanitary appliances. Under Alabama Code 35-9A-204, landlords are required to maintain rental properties in a safe and habitable condition. Because these conditions were pre-existing and documented at move-in, I do not believe I should be held financially responsible for them. I request a complete itemized statement of the alleged debt, copies of any move-in and move-out inspection reports, and all documentation supporting the charges. If the debt can not be properly verified, I request that it be removed from my credit report. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
