Fees or interest: Credit card
I made my required minimum payment, and it successfully posted to my account. The only payments that were later returned were additional payments and not my required minimum payment. Despite this, Synchrony Bank immediately began placing repeated collection calls instead of providing any meaningful written communication regarding my account. I am attempting to address my account responsibly and have requested that Synchrony communicate with me in writing so I can maintain accurate records. I also requested information regarding any available hardship programs, payment arrangements, reduced payment options, or other account assistance. Instead of providing the information I requested, Synchrony has chosen repeated collection activity. I believe consumers who are making good-faith efforts to communicate and resolve their accounts should receive clear written information regarding available assistance rather than repeated collection calls. I am requesting that Synchrony provide a substantive written response addressing my account status, any available hardship or payment options, and honor my request for written communication whenever possible.
