Getting a credit card: Credit card

Someone opened an account in my name with CareCredit. I received the card- which I never requested - and called the company to cancel it. They told me I didn't know my own birthday and SSN, so obviously whoever opened the account used a different birthday and SSN. They refused to close the card since I didn't know the " correct '' information.
