Incorrect information on your report: Credit reporting or other personal consumer reports
I am filing this complaint regarding an unauthorized account appearing on my consumer reports. I dispute the accuracy and validity of this account because I did not apply for, authorize, or consent to this account being opened or used in my name. The presence of this account has caused significant harm to my credit profile and has impacted my ability to access fair financial opportunities. I believe my personal identifying information was used without my permission, and I am requesting a complete investigation into how this account was created and reported. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I have the right to dispute inaccurate information and to have consumer reporting agencies conduct a reasonable reinvestigation of disputed information. I am requesting that the credit reporting agencies and the data furnisher : 1. Conduct a thorough investigation of this account. 2. Provide all records used to verify the account, including any signed applications, agreements, and identity verification documents. 3. Remove and permanently delete the account from all consumer reporting agencies if it can not be verified as accurate and legally attributable to me. 4. Correct any related derogatory information, late payments, collections, or balances associated with this unauthorized account. I further request that the company responsible for furnishing this information explain the permissible purpose for obtaining and using my consumer information and provide evidence supporting its authority to report this account. I respectfully request a prompt resolution, removal of the inaccurate account, and written confirmation of the actions taken to restore the accuracy of my consumer credit files.
