Incorrect information on your report: Credit reporting or other personal consumer reports
I am submitting a complaint regarding inaccurate personal identifying information appearing on my consumer credit reports. After reviewing my reports and supporting documentation, I identified personal information that is incorrect, outdated, inconsistent, or not associated with my accurate identity records. The Fair Credit Reporting Act, including 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ), requires consumer reporting agencies to maintain maximum possible accuracy regarding all information contained within a consumer file. Under 15 U.S.C. 1681i, disputed information must be reasonably reinvestigated and corrected when inaccuracies are identified. Given the increasing number of consumer data breaches and incidents involving compromised personal information, the inaccurate personal information appearing on my reports may be the result of corrupted or improperly merged data files. I have attached supporting identification and personal documentation verifying my correct information. The continued reporting of inaccurate identifying information creates confusion regarding my consumer file and raises concerns regarding the accuracy and integrity of the information being maintained and reported.
