Incorrect information on your report: Credit reporting or other personal consumer reports
The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1681 ) states that fair and accurate credit reporting is essential to the banking system, and inaccurate reporting impairs its efficiency. I recently reviewed my consumer report and discovered an incorrect late payment on this account, despite the fact that I have never been late. This inaccurate reporting violates the Fair Credit Billing Act and the Truth in Lending Act, including 15 U.S.C. 1666b, which require accurate reporting and timely correction of errors. Please investigate this matter and, if you can not provide documentary evidence of any late payment, promptly correct the account to reflect on-time payments in full compliance with the law.
