I am filing this complaint against bmo Harris for a failed dispute investigation regarding a debit card transaction. I placed two orders with the merchant 'stagvapes ' for electronic items. The items arrived completely defective and are unable to take or hold a charge. I contacted the merchant immediately, and they explicitly admitted in writing that they knowingly mixed my orders with a 'higher defect rate batch. ' The merchant explicitly told me 'we will take good care of it ' and promised that a subsequent batch would be fixed, enticing me into spending more money, only to send more broken items. I filed a formal dispute with my bank under consumer guidelines for merchandise that is defective/ not as described. My bank gave me a provisional credit, but has just reversed it and stated that I am 'liable for the charges. ' The bank appears to have blindly sided with the merchant 's automated shipping tracking number while completely refusing to review my written evidence where the merchant openly admits fault and admits to shipping defective goods from a compromised batch. This was a personal purchase made for myself, my family, and a few friends, and I have had to personally reimburse my family out of pocket due to the merchant 's deceptive practices. I am requesting that my bank manually review these explicit admissions of fault from the merchant and reinstate my permanent credits for these transactions.
