Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem: Credit reporting or other personal consumer reports

I am writing to report an unauthorized account on my credit report, indicating potential identity theft. I have filed a police report and taken steps to protect myself. I have also attached copies of relevant documents, including my credit report highlighting the fraudulent account, as well as any other supporting evidence.
