Took or threatened to take negative or legal action: Debt collection

I contacted MCA Collection Agency regarding a debt I did not recognize on my credit profile. I was hung up on, threatened with the police for calling to resolve my debt, given the run around, and my rights were denied to dispute this debt, as I am a victim of identity theft and have had several other accounts removed from my credit profile that were fraudulently opened. I am attempting to pay my debt that I do owe but I refuse to pay for something I did not open. I have been treated poorly by this company and my issue has not been taken seriously. I would like this account removed immediately. I didnt know that attempting to restore my credit while addressing identity theft issues would result in me being treated with law enforcement simply for calling their place of business.
