Written notification about debt: Debt collection
I dispute the accuracy and legal enforceability of the account that Waypoint Resource Group LLC is reporting on my personal consumer credit reports. I believe this account originated from a Spectrum business account rather than a personal consumer account. Despite this, Waypoint is reporting the account as an Individual Account on my consumer credit reports. I requested validation of this alleged debt and documentation establishing that I am personally liable. Specifically, I requested documentation showing that I personally entered into the agreement, any signed application or personal guaranty, the complete billing history, an itemized accounting of the balance, and documentation establishing Waypoints authority to collect this debt. To date, Waypoint has continued furnishing information to the consumer reporting agencies without providing documentation establishing my personal liability for this alleged obligation. I dispute both the ownership and accuracy of this account and whether it is properly reportable as my individual debt. If this account originated as a business obligation, Waypoint should provide documentation establishing that I personally guaranteed or otherwise assumed legal responsibility for it. I believe reporting an account as an individual consumer obligation without adequate documentation of personal liability may result in inaccurate information being furnished to consumer reporting agencies. I am requesting that the CFPB review this matter and require Waypoint to conduct a reasonable investigation and provide the documentation supporting its reporting.
