Attempts to collect debt not owed: Debt collection

" Portfolio Recovery '' - a debt collection agency- refuses to remove an account from my credit report. This account is not mine -- I have no knowledge of it, nor have I ever. It just showed up suddenly on my credit report and I keep telling them it isn't mine but all they do is mark it " updated '' and leave it there. I have no documents to upload because it isn't my account, so all I can do is tell them it isn't mine- but it isn't, so that's what I do- and I dispute it nearly every other day.
