I am filing this complaint against Chime regarding an unauthorized electronic fund transfer in the amount of $4900.00. I did not authorize, initiate, or benefit from this transaction. I promptly reported the fraud to Chime and have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter directly with them. Despite my repeated efforts, Chime has failed to properly investigate my claim and has refused to return my money, leaving me with a significant financial loss. Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1693 et seq. ) and Regulation E ( 12 C.F.R. 1005.11 ), financial institutions are required to conduct a reasonable investigation of unauthorized electronic fund transfers, resolve errors in a timely manner, and provide provisional credit when required. I believe Chime has failed to comply with these obligations. As Chimes banking services are provided through FDIC-insured partner banks, I expect full compliance with all applicable federal consumer protection laws governing electronic fund transfers and consumer disputes. Requested Resolution : I request that Chime : * Immediately reimburse the unauthorized $4900.00 transaction. * Provide copies of all evidence and documentation relied upon in denying or handling my dispute. * Correct any errors related to this transaction and comply with the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation E. * Provide written confirmation once my funds have been returned. I have attempted to resolve this issue directly with Chime in good faith, but they have failed to return my money. I am requesting the CFPBs assistance in ensuring Chime complies with federal consumer protection laws and reimburses me for my unauthorized loss.
