Opening an account: Checking or savings account

I am filing this complaint because ChexSystems is reporting inaccurate information about me, and it has prevented me from opening a bank account. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ) and 1681i, consumer reporting agencies are required to maintain maximum possible accuracy and conduct a reasonable investigation of disputed information. Because the information being reported is inaccurate, I request its immediate deletion from my ChexSystems consumer report. I also request that ChexSystems provide me with an updated consumer report reflecting the deletion. The inaccurate reporting has caused financial hardship by limiting my access to basic banking services, and I expect this matter to be resolved promptly in accordance with the FCRA.
