Other features, terms, or problems: Credit card

I sent payment to capital one credit card from capital one checking and the money was available in checking and the payment was rejected and now credit card is closed and I called capital one credit card supervisor to keep account open but they couldnt this is severley impacting my credit when all I did was pay credit card. Thank you.
