Problem with a lender or other company charging your account: Checking or savings account

Ive had two fraudulent accounts opened with Wells Fargo under my name/SSN. One was a checking account and the other a credit card. Ive had both issues looked into, the credit card was supposedly closed, Im waiting for the bank to close. Im concerned that its been so easy for people to pose as me and open accounts with no ID or further steps to prevent this from happening with Wells Fargo. This is unacceptable.
