Problem with a purchase shown on your statement: Credit card
Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am filing this complaint regarding Chase denial of a fraud/dispute claim involving unauthorized transactions on my account. I discovered transactions that I did not authorize and reported them to my bank. I cooperated fully with the banks investigation and provided all information requested. Despite this, my claim was denied, and the bank has refused to reimburse me for the fraudulent transactions. The bank has not provided evidence demonstrating that I authorized the transactions. Furthermore, the bank has stated that it can not determine how the fraud occurred. Despite being unable to identify the source of the unauthorized activity, the bank concluded that I am responsible for the loss and denied my claim. I have also requested documentation, details, and findings from the Chases investigation. However, Chase has failed or refused to provide me with the investigation report, evidence, or a clear explanation supporting its decision. As a customer, I believe I am entitled to understand the basis for the denial of my fraud claim, especially when the bank can not identify how the unauthorized transactions occurred. I believe the banks investigation was inadequate and that its decision was unfair and unsupported by sufficient evidence. Chase refusal to provide investigation findings prevents me from meaningfully challenging its determination. I respectfully request that the CFPB review this matter and require the bank to : 1. Provide a complete explanation of the investigation conducted. 2. Disclose the evidence relied upon to deny my claim. 3. Reconsider the fraud claim based on a thorough and fair review. 4. Reimburse the unauthorized transactions if the bank can not establish that I authorized them. I am prepared to provide copies of my communications with the bank, records of the disputed transactions, and the claim denial notice. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate your assistance and look forward to a fair resolution.
